Quick review: Dell XPS 13 2-in-1

The Pros:

This new form of the XPS 13 includes a crossover pivot and more slender body. The edge-to-edge, almost sans bezel show makes most extreme utilization of space, and the beginning cost is amazingly sensible.

The Cons:

Standard USB ports get swapped for USB-C ones, the Intel Y-arrangement processor isn’t as quick as those found in more customary tablets and the power button can be precarious to hit.

Conclusion :

Despite a couple exchange offs in ports and handling power, this slimmer crossover variant of the XPS 13 is an astounding full-time portable PC and low maintenance tablet.

General Design

The design is near my idea of a perfect cutting edge portable PC. It’s thin, there’s little squandered space on the conservative body, and it has a couple of top of the line highlights that help it stand out. For example, a unique fingerprint reader, Thunderbolt-empowered USB-C ports, a double focal point IR webcam, and that incredible edge-to-edge show. Take note of that the unique fingerprint scanner works for Windows Hello login at this moment. However, support for facial recognition login from the camera is coming by means of a future update.

It benefits enormously from a correlation with the standard XPS 13 display, which Dell still offers (see our latest audit here). The 2-in-1 rendition is more slender and doesn’t have the wedge shape that made the standard XPS 13 feel somewhat massive, yet has the same phenomenal console and vast touch cushion. The design of the XPS 13 2-in-1 tried here is $1,299 in the US, however it begins at $999 for a better than average arrangement of hardware and the same 1,920×1,080 touch screen as this one.
